Veres head coach Oleh Shandruk shared his impressions of the Turkish training camp.
Олег Шандрук- I am not a superstitious person and I do not believe that having successfully performed in Turkey, we have already exhausted our winning margin. Then what, there is nothing left but to demand from the players to act at half strength in the next match after another victory? No, it does not happen like that: you either have the skill or you don't.
- It seems that thanks to the activity in the transfer market, Veres will have a long bench in the second part of the season.
- Indeed, now we need to think carefully about who to entrust with a place in the starting line-up. It's a kind of pleasant headache. Of course, the fierce competition will contribute to motivation, and the players will try to use every opportunity to prove themselves as efficiently as possible.
- Is the selection work at Veres finished?
- Yes, it is. Now it is important that the players I already have at my disposal demonstrate their potential.
- Did you avoid any injuries at the Turkish training camp?
- There were some micro-injuries, but they were not crucial. Moreover, even those players who were recovering from injuries, at the end of the training camp, enriched their game practice.
- Will you single out any of the new recruits?
- This is not worth doing. The important thing is that they quickly fit into the team and are eager to help Veres get out of the danger zone.
- On 25 February, Veres will host Kolos in the 18th round of the UPL championship. This will be an extraordinary event, as for the first time during martial law, spectators will officially be present at a calendar match.
- "Veres has always been strong with its 12 players. I am convinced that the Rivne team used to play poorly at home because there were no fans. Now the situation is changing. For our part, we will try not to disappoint our loyal fans. Together, we need to maintain Rivne's "residence" in the elite division of Ukrainian football.
