Roy Hodgson has resigned as head coach of Crystal Palace, according to an official statement from the club.
The Eagles' press service thanked the coach for his work and also reported that the 76-year-old specialist is in hospital, his condition is stable.
In today's match against Everton in Liverpool, the team will be led by Paddy McCarthy and Ray Lewington.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the new coach, Oliver Glassner, has already signed a contract with the club and will be present at Goodison Park for his first training session on Tuesday.
Last week, Hodgson was taken ill at the team's training session and was soon taken to hospital. This happened when the club agreed to terminate the agreement with the coach and appoint Glasner as his replacement.
