The captain of Kyiv Obolon Kyiv Oleh Slobodyan said what he thinks about the mobilisation of footballers in Ukraine.
"It is necessary to settle this issue. I know many guys who are at the front. The club and the corporation "Obolon" actively help. Not everything is advertised, so that it does not look like PR. We have a patriotic team and corporation, because the president is a patriot of his state.
If we want to stay competitive in football, this needs to be regulated. I hope that the new UAF team headed by Andriy Shevchenko will find the right solution. Footballers do not need privileges, but clear frameworks that they will adhere to," Ukrainian Football quotes Slobodyan as saying.
We would like to add that this week the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plans to adopt in the second reading the law on mobilisation, the draft of which is currently being finalized after the first reading vote.
