Manchester United's press office has issued an official statement that businessman Jim Ratcliffe has completed the acquisition of a 27.7% stake in the club.
It is known that the businessman has fulfilled all the terms of the deal, including obtaining permits from the Football Association and the Premier League.
"It is a great honour and a great responsibility to become a co-owner of Manchester United. This marks the completion of the transaction, but it is only the beginning of our journey to return the club to the top of English, European and global football, where our fans will enjoy a world-class experience. The work to achieve these goals will accelerate from today," said Ratcliffe.
