Following the results of the next European Cup matches, Ukraine did not change its position in the UEFA coefficient table.
Just to remind you, yesterday Shakhtar Donetsk lost to French side Marseille (1-3) in the return leg to qualify for the Europa League 1/8 finals and were eliminated from the tournament on aggregate (2-2, 1-3). "Pitmen" until this fight remained the only Ukrainian representative in the European cups of the current season.
As a result, Ukraine remain in 18th place in the UEFA coefficient table this season and will not be able to go any higher.
It should be noted that the key position in this part of the table is the 15th position: countries that occupy places 1 to 15 in the table delegate two representatives to the Champions League, not one.
The final table of UEFA coefficients this season will determine the representation of countries in the Eurocups of the season 2025/26. Ukraine will be able to delegate four teams to this season's European competitions (instead of five, as it has been all the time recently), namely:
Champions League - 1 team, the national champion (starting from the second qualifying round);
Europa League - 1 team, national cup winner (starts from the second qualifying round);
Conference League - 2 teams finishing in second and third places in the national championship (starting from the second qualifying round).
Next season Ukraine, as before, will be represented in the Champions League by two teams.
