Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira has commented on the invitation to play for the Belgian national team.
"I got the call again at the beginning of the season and I told them I wanted to play for Brazil. Choosing another national team just to have the opportunity to play on the international stage makes no sense to me," Globo quoted the 28-year-old as saying.
Born in Belgium to a Brazilian father, Pereira had the right to represent Belgium or Brazil at the international level.
