In the second half, both teams made several substitutions in an attempt to change the game. C. Ehizibue, J. Zemura, L. Samardzic, F. Thoven and S. Lovric came on for Udinese. Despite their efforts, Udinese were unable to get past the Genoa defence and the match ended 2-0 in favour of Genoa. Overall, it was a tense match between the two teams, but Genoa's early lead and solid defence eventually secured their victory.
