"Most likely, Dnipro-1 will be left with nothing," - the commercial director of Dnipro-1 about the lawsuit against Jovicevych

"Jovicevic should not have left (after leaving Dnipro-1, the specialist headed Shakhtar Donetsk - ed.). We had an option to extend the contract, and we used it. And he took advantage of this annex and went to Shakhtar. We also filed a complaint against him, believing that if he used the annexe, he should have left the country, and not moved to another Ukrainian club.

But apparently, there's also an amount there that exceeds the amount of prize money we owed him for coming third. And there one or two salaries. So we expected that UEFA would go our way and punish Jovicevic in the same way. But UEFA always goes towards the players and coaches. Therefore, most likely, we will be left with nothing with our lawsuit. I can say this from the experience of dealing with UEFA.

We filed a counterclaim. He sued for arrears and we sued for the fact that he had breached the terms of the contract. But our [lawsuit amount] was higher, so we were quite calm at first. We thought that UEFA would meet us halfway. Now we are not sure about that anymore. But we have settled with him. And we will fight further. But where it will lead to - I don't know," Friedman said.
