Cagliari hosted Napoli in a tense Serie A match at the Unipol Domus stadium, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Both teams tried to break the deadlock in the first half, and in the 32nd minute Cagliari's goal was cancelled due to offside by A. Rrahmani. The home side received a yellow card in the 36th minute and Z. Luvumbo followed suit in the 48th minute. Cagliari made their first two substitutions in the 60th minute, bringing on L. In the 73rd minute, Napoli brought on K. Quarazchelia in place of M. Politano, and then made three more substitutions in the final minutes of the game. Cagliari also made changes: T. Augello came on in place of G. Oristanio in the 75th minute, and A. Petagna replaced L. Pavoletti in the 76th minute. In the end, both teams settled for a draw in a match that could have gone either way. As a result, Cagliari and Napoli picked up one point each, continuing their performances in Serie A.
