Despite the substitutions, neither team could succeed and the match ended in a stalemate. Tension grew as the match progressed, and in the 65th minute O. Martyniuk, a player of Alexandria, received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute the referee showed another yellow card to the hosts, although the name of the player is not mentioned in the match report. In general, both teams made maximum efforts, but neither of them could get the winning goal. A draw meant that both Alexandria and Shakhtar Donetsk would take one point each, keeping their positions in the standings unchanged. Despite the lack of goals, the match was tense and hard-fought, and the fans were in suspense until the final whistle.
