Former Lviv Karpaty CEO Oleksandr Yefremov has spoken out about the situation surrounding the match between Oleksandriya and Shakhtar in the 18th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (0-0).

It will be recalled that Ivan Kalyuzhnyi, who was not registered for the Oleksandriya club in the UPL this season, played for the home side in this match. "Oleksandriya has already pleaded guilty and now the team is almost guaranteed to receive a technical defeat for the match against Shakhtar.

And yet I want there to be an investigation into the incident. I want all those involved to give explanations: UPL, UAF, Oleksandriya, as well as the referee and the match delegate. Under the current UPL competition regulations, this is organisationally and technically impossible.
