Real Madrid goalkeeper called up to Ukraine U-17 national team

The composition of the national team of Ukraine for the matches of the elite qualifying round of Euro 2024 among young men under 17 (players not older than 2007) has been determined, the UAF press service reports.

Among the players called up is 17-year-old goalkeeper Ilya Voloshyn, who recently signed a contract with Real Madrid.

Thecomposition of the youth national team of Ukraine U-17:

Goalkeepers: Oleksandr Kharechko (Rukh), Nazar Makarenko (Dnipro-1), Ilya Voloshyn (Real Madrid, Spain).

Defenders: Kyrylo Digtyar (Metalist), Oleksii Rybak, Demian Tretyak (both Dynamo), Yevhen Riabokon (Slovacko, Czech Republic), Mykyta Sheleketa, Yehor Dankovskyi (both Shakhtar), Dmytro Strelchuk (Bayern Munich, Germany).

Midfielders: Nazar Bondar (Rukh), Oleksandr Dragan (Atalanta, Italy), Yevhen Harmash (Shakhtar), Bohdan Olychenko (Bayern Munich, Germany), Volodymyr Ozymai, Pavlo Lucin, Bohdan Redushko (all - Dynamo), Ali Khalilov (Dnipro-1).

Forwards: Dmytro Bogdanov (Dynamo Dresden, Germany), Ivan Denisov (Rukh), Artem Stepanov (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany).

As a result of the elite round draw, the blue and yellows are in Group 4, where they will play the national teams of Greece, Switzerland and Slovakia. The mini-tournament will be hosted by Greece, with the quartet's matches taking place on 6-12 March in Patras at the Pampeloponnisiako and Kostas Davourlis Stadiums.

Yuriy Moroz was recently appointed as the new coach of the Ukraine U-17 national team, and he named the team for the elite round match.
