In a much-anticipated Serie A match, Lazio hosted AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico. The first half ended in a stalemate, with both teams unable to turn the tide, resulting in a 0-0 scoreline at half-time. The second half was more active, with players from both teams receiving a flurry of yellow cards. In the 57th minute, Lazio's L. Pellegrini received two yellow cards in a row, which led to a red card and left his team with 10 men for the rest of the match. AC Milan's A. Florenzi also received a yellow card in the 61st minute.
The match saw a number of substitutions for both teams and Milan made tactical changes to try and get a much-needed win. In the 88th minute, N. Okafor scored the only goal of the match, giving Milan the lead and securing the win. The match ended with the score 0:1 in favour of Milan. The tense match was not without drama: Lazio's A. Marusic and M. Guendouzi received red cards in the penalty time. Despite their best efforts, Lazio failed to equalise, giving Milan all three points in the Serie A match.
