According to the Daily Express, Liverpool made a request to the Egyptian Football Federation not to call up Mohamed Salah. However, this proposal was immediately rejected.

It will be recalled that in January, Mohamed Salah left the camp of the national team, which played at the African Cup of Nations, ahead of schedule and returned to Liverpool to recover. After that, the player came out for the match against Brentford, but later Salah was diagnosed with a muscle injury. The striker is currently recovering and is fifty per cent ready to play in the match against Manchester City on 10 March in the 28th round of the Premier League.
