The composition of the youth national team of Ukraine for the matches of the elite qualifying round of Euro-2024 among young men under 19 (players not older than 2005) has been determined. It will be recalled that the Ukrainians under the leadership of Oleg Kuznetsov took first place in their qualifying round group.

As a result of the elite round draw, the blue and yellows are in Group 7, where they will play against the teams of Switzerland, North Macedonia and Latvia. The host of the mini-tournament will be Northern Macedonia, with the quartet's matches taking place on 20-26 March in Skopje at the Makedonija Gjorce Petrov and FFM Training Centre stadiums.

Dmytro Mykhaylenko was recently appointed as the new coach of the Ukraine U-19 national team, who named the team for the elite round match.

Midfielders: Daniil Vashchenko (Oleksandriya), Andriy Matkevych (Dynamo Kyiv), Viktor Tsukanov (Shakhtar Donetsk), Maksym Melnychenko (Dnipro-1 Dnipro), Hennadii Synchuk (Metalist Kharkiv), Danylo Krevsun (Borussia D, Germany).

Forwards: Matviy Ponomarenko (Dynamo Kyiv), Ramik Hadzhiev (Dnipro-1 Dnipro), Mykhailo Dubrovnyi (Gent, Belgium), Timur Tuterov (Sunderland, England), Christian Shevchenko (Watford, England).

The draw for the elite round divided 28 teams into seven groups, whose matches will take place in March. The winners of the elite round groups will join the host, Northern Ireland, in the final stage, which will take place on 15-28 July 2024 and will be a UEFA qualifier for the 2025 U-20 World Cup.
