The Madrid prosecutor's office is demanding the imprisonment of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti. This was reported by Relevo.com.
According to the source, the reason for Ancelotti's imprisonment may be tax evasion. In 2014-2015, the Italian failed to pay taxes in excess of €1 million. As a result, the prosecutor's office is demanding that the coach be imprisoned for 4 years and 9 months.
It is known that Ancelotti obtained Spanish residency status, stating that he lived in Madrid. However, in his tax returns, the Italian, in addition to his income at Real Madrid, did not indicate income from the use of image rights. As it turned out, Ancelotti transferred them to third parties. Law enforcement agencies believe that the Real Madrid coach used a complex system of trusts to avoid taxation of this income.
Ancelotti has been in charge of Real Madrid for the second time in his coaching career.
