Christian Shevchenko: "I will do my best to help the national team and bring joy to Ukraine"

Watford U-18 striker Christian Shevchenko - son of Andriy Shevchenko - commented on his call-up to the Ukraine U-19 national team.

"Of course, it's always an honour to be called up to the Ukraine national team. I am looking forward to the opportunities ahead and looking forward to meeting my teammates and coaches. I will do my best to help the team in the upcoming matches and bring joy to our country. Glory to Ukraine," said Christian Shevchenko.

Earlier it was reported that Christian Shevchenko received Ukrainian citizenship. This is his first call-up to the team.
