Former FIFA referee Miroslav Stupar gave his assessment of the episode with the penalty at the end of yesterday's match of the 20th round of the Ukrainian championship between Rivne's Veres and Dynamo Kyiv (1:1), which allowed the hosts to avoid defeat.

For some reason, the referee considered the Rovenchanin guilty. And frankly speaking, I did not understand the behaviour of Veres players, because of what it came to the crowd. They seem to have forgotten that in such cases the VAR system, which worked at the match, always has the last word. VAR referee Vitaly Romanov advised Dmitry Panchishin to review the video of the episode, and as a result a penalty was rightly awarded to the visitors.
In my opinion, today Dynamo outclassed Veres by the level of preparation, but the mood to play hard was higher in Rovno. This helped the hosts to draw with the grandee of Ukrainian football", - said Stupar.
