Vladimir Geninson: "I read about Shakhtar's interest in Fesyun and was surprised"

Kolos vice-president Volodymyr Heninson commented on rumours of Shakhtar's interest in Kovalivka goalkeeper Kyrylo Fesyun.

Vladimir Geninson

- The media reported that Shakhtar had made an offer to Kirill Fesyun. Can you confirm or deny this?

- I can't. Neither confirm nor deny. I heard this information from the media.

- Do you have any idea where these rumours came from? Are they agents' games?

- To be honest, I don't know. When I read it myself, I was surprised.

- Earlier it was reported that scouts from some European clubs were watching Fesyun in the match against Veres. Do you know anything about this?

- Yes, I know about it.

- The media wrote about the clubs of the Premier League and the Bundesliga. Do you know which ones?

- I can't confirm about the Bundesliga, but I can confirm about the UPL.

- Recently, Yevhen Volynets left Kolos, and now there is interest from clubs in Fesyun, who has become a worthy replacement for him. Does Kolos have a replacement for Fesyun if he does leave in the near future?

- He won't be leaving in the near future, as our league is in full swing, 100 per cent. If Volynets left and there is interest in Fesyun, it means that the school is very good. Accordingly, Vyacheslav Kernozenko is doing a great job. There is Roman Mysak, there is Valentyn Gorokh. There are two goalkeepers who, I think, will start to progress very quickly as soon as they get into the first team.

- Fesyun is a young footballer; doesn't he get discouraged by the fact that a lot of people write and talk about him in the press?

- Did you watch the match against Shakhtar? Does he get off track or not? I think not. Did you see how many saves he made? He is doing very well mentally. He plays well in goal.

I think he was surprised when he read about Shakhtar. It's interesting information, it's almost impossible to verify, but let's hope.
