In the 21st matchday, after refereeing Dynamo's 2-0 win over Zorya, Dnipro referee Vitalii Romanov officiated his 140th match in the Ukrainian league.
Thus, he has passed Yevhen Aranovskyi from Kyiv to become one of the top 10 referees in the UPL. In 14 seasons of refereeing in the elite division, Romanov has shown 845 yellow (402 for the home team + 443 for the away team) and 70 red (34+36) cards to discipline offenders, and has awarded 54 penalties: 28 for the visitors and 26 for the home side.
By the way, Romanov is the record holder in the Ukrainian championships in terms of the number of dismissals both in general and among the home team.
