Head coach of Cherkasy LNZ Oleg Dulub summarised the results of yesterday's match of his team with Dnipro 1 (1:1) in the 21st round of the Ukrainian championship.
"In my opinion we were much closer to victory. After all, in terms of the number of chances created, we were noticeably superior to the guests, but once again the realisation let us down.
Although, to be fair, it should be said that the last word could have gone to Dnipro, who did not take their chance at the end of the game. As you can see, they could have lost, so a draw is a fair result.
LNZ did not play in the optimal lineup in this match. Because of minor injuries, we decided not to risk the health of foreign players - Olivier Till and Bessala. Because of their absence we lacked creativity, but in general I am convinced that our team is progressing.
I try not to comment on the referees' decision. However, in our match, at the beginning of the attack, which ended with the LNZ goal, Dnipro-1 player literally a few metres away from the technical area played the ball with his hand. Everyone saw it, but the referee's whistle was silent, and the VAR, which worked in Kovalevka, did not react in any way. It's a shame," Sport.ua quoted Dulub as saying.
