Maurizio Sarri has resigned as head coach of Lazio. This is reported by the official website of the Roman club.
It is reported that Sarri himself decided to resign, which was accepted by the Lazio management. At the same time, Giovanni Martuscello was appointed acting head coach.
The Romans are currently 9th in the Serie A standings.
As a reminder, Sarri has been in charge of Lazio since the 2021/2022 season. His agreement with the Roman club was calculated until the end of the 2024/2025 season.
