Petey: "Alexander Arnold should shut up and keep his mouth shut"

Former Chelsea, Arsenal and Monaco midfielder Emmanuel Petit has reacted to the words of Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold, who earlier said that the trophies won by the Merseysiders are more valuable than the titles won by Manchester City thanks to their wealthy owners.

"Trent's words about the trophies won by Liverpool being more important and valuable to their fans is bullshit. Was he trying to say that Liverpool fans are better than other fans? Does he think they deserve more trophies than other clubs and their fans? It's ridiculous. When I read what Alexander-Arnold said, I thought that sometimes it's better to shut up and keep quiet. There are times when it's better to think twice before opening your mouth," the British newspaper Liverpool Echo quoted Petit as saying.
