Well-known Romanian coach and functionary Grigore Sichitiu believes that there is no reason to expect that former Dynamo Kyiv coach Mircea Lucescu, who is still out of work, will decide to continue his career in his home country, Romania. Recall, recently the name of the 78-year-old specialist has been linked with Dinamo Bucharest.
"Mircea Lucescu understands the level of Romanian football very well. And he himself is a top coach at that. If he comes to Romanian football, he will have to work with players who play one match well, and then two or three - badly, and who will have to be taught the simplest things. I don't think Mircea is interested in such a job, so I don't see any reason to expect him to return to our football.
I really don't see Lucescu in Romanian football, he won't be in it anymore. Otherwise he will just spoil his old age and jeopardise his health. Yes, Romanian football needs Mircea Lucescu, but he is on a completely different level. He is the only Romanian coach to have won titles in three different countries. He has won 38 trophies, there will be no one like him in 100 years!", Sicitiu said on GSP Live.
