I was always maximally determined to get high results and constant improvement as a player, and now I want to do the same as a coach. There is a desire to grow gradually, to get even more progress in order to work in the UPL. And it worked out for me.
- You have previously been at the helm of "Polesie". Compared to your previous period of work in the team, do you feel different emotions now?
- Well, of course. Emotions are completely different. They are really cool. And it is quite natural, because during this time the club has grown, and the tasks it faces, too. And the players in it, except for Gritsuk, are all different. This is not that "Polesie", which I came to for the first time almost four years ago. This is a completely different level than the second or first league.
- What did the club president Gennadiy Butkevich said to you when you returned to Zhytomyr?
- He wished me good luck and good work. If he chose me, it means that he believes in me. So I hope that I will not let him down.
- You have already had the first training session with "Polesie". How did your new charges met you?
- As I said, I feel great. The guys are good, I saw a good attitude on their part. The training was quite productive, fruitful and intensive. The players had a good training and, I think, were satisfied. (Smiles).
- How many players from the current squad do you know well?
- They are Bogdan Kushnirenko, Vasyl Hrytsuk, Denis Ndukwe - they are the players with whom I used to work. And many other guys I know well, because I followed "Polesie" constantly, not missing a single match at the Central City Stadium in Zhytomyr. Therefore, for me there are no problems in communication with them.
- On whom did you leave your football "economy" in "Zvyagel"?
- The whole coaching staff, who worked with me, remained. Nobody makes any revolutions, because the guys are used to the requirements of this coaching staff. Mykola Gibalyuk will be the head of the team, all the others will help him.
- The president of "Zvyagel" expressed hope that after you help "Polesie", he will be waiting for your return to the club.
- (Smiles). Yes, I read his interview. Well, let him hope, because this is a normal thing. I have not burned bridges, Dmitry Kostyuk and I are constantly in touch. Time will show how and what will happen next. In the meantime, I would still like to be able to work in "Polesie" as long as possible.
