Legendary Arsenal forward Ian Wright has expressed concern about the performance of his former team's Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko in the recent Champions League 1/8 final return leg against Portuguese side Porto, in which he came on as a substitute in overtime.
"The displeasure of the stands towards Zinchenko, I think, was due to the fact that he was expected to cherish the ball and develop his team's combinations, not just get rid of it.
Zinchenko looked rather unsure. I do not know what it was due to, maybe just the fact that he had not played for a long time.
And he also tries to do too much, playing on the position of the left defender. It makes me feel scared. I think Arsenal fans have similar feelings. Zinchenko has to be on the pitch what he comes out there, stay calm and value the ball," TBR quoted Wright as saying.
