Braim Diaz: "I feel 100% Moroccan and 100% Spanish"

Real Madrid midfielder Braim Diaz commented on his decision to play for the Moroccan national team. The Royal Spanish Football Federation was not interested in the player, despite the fact that he played for the Spanish youth teams.

"I have never been forced to play for Spain. I am responsible on the field. I feel 100% Spanish and 100% Moroccan. If I have to score a goal for Spain, of course I will be happy, but I would like to score a goal for the other team. I have Moroccan roots, but I grew up in Spain.

I always decide with my heart, and it was the same this time. I'm just a boy with dreams. The Morocco project seems very attractive to me. The decision has been made. Now there is no point in thinking about what would have happened if... I didn't think about whether the Spanish coach would call me to make a decision," Marca quoted Diaz as saying.
