At the start of the second part of the season, Dynamo's U-19 team won all its matches. In four games, Ihor Kostiuk's team conceded only one goal. Only Zorya managed to avoid defeat in a match against the young Dynamo players.
The main impression after four games is that the midfield is very good. Thanks to this, the pressure on the defence has significantly decreased. Opponents do not have many chances at Dynamo's goal. In attack, the strikers have their chances. Midfielders help create goal-scoring situations.
The most vivid impression after the game against Zorya is not the presence of the national team's head coach Serhii Rebrov or the legendary Dynamo player Leonid Buryak, but the fact that at the end of the match the Dynamo youth team gave the opposition no chance. "Zorya wanted to storm the field and escape defeat, but they couldn't take the ball away. Kostiuk's men were in full control of the game.
In the second part of the season, Dynamo U-19 finally gained stability. If in the autumn there were constant changes in the middle of the field due to injuries and downturns in form, now the same players play in all four matches. In the first part of the season, only Kyrylo Osypenko had a stable place in the squad. His partners were constantly changing - Maksym Vasilets, Nazar Yanchyshyn, Roman Salenko. Volodymyr Ozymai, a player born in 2007, even started to play. Now there are three players - Danylo Ishchenko, David Bilyi and Kyrylo Ospyneko. All of them were born in 2006. Only Osypenko is 18 years old.
Ishchenko is a defensive midfielder who is destructive. He is the son of former Karpaty and Shakhtar player Mykola Ishchenko, who worked at the Dynamo Academy and now assists Yurii Maksymov at Dnipro-1. Osypenko is a creative midfielder with good technique, ball handling, vision, passing, and an understanding of the game. Bilyi - does a lot of work on the pitch, works well with the ball, creates pressure on the opponent, and feels the moment.
The peculiarity of youth football is its volatility. Everything can change dramatically in six months. Bilyi didn't actually play in the autumn because of health problems. Now he is showing a very interesting level. Roman Salenko was included in the first team squad in the autumn, but now he is injured. Everything changes quickly at the youth level.
The middle of the field in the first team needs fresh blood. Vitalii Buyalskyi is not always able to play due to his age. He has missed almost all the games and is now out for the third time. Volodymyr Shepelev and Oleksandr Andrievskyi do not show progress and stability. Both are not young anymore. In Rivne, where Volodymyr Brazhko was not present, Kyiv did not win the middle of the pitch and had problems with the organisation of the game.
Bilyi, Osypenko and Ishchenko are the future of Dynamo Kyiv. I really hope that their progress in the youth team will be noticed by the first team coaching staff. Step by step, the boys will be brought closer to adult football.
