Bosnia and Herzegovina defender Adnan Kovacevic, who has been additionally called up to his national team's camp due to Adrian Barisic's injury, revealed what he thinks about the match against Ukraine in the semi-final of the play-off round of the Euro 2024 qualifying cycle.
"Our results in the group stage of qualification were not very good, but now everything is back in our hands. The most important thing now is to prepare as best as possible for the upcoming match. And I have no doubt that we will do that, we can look much better in the game against Ukraine and then hopefully in the play-off final against Israel or Iceland.
Ukraine is a really quality team. We saw how much trouble it caused England and Italy in the group stage of qualifying. But we will play in front of our wonderful fans and I see no reason why we should be afraid of anyone, even the Ukraine national team. I hope that on 22 March we will talk about the play-off final (the match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine will take place on 21 March - ed.), and on 26 March we will celebrate a great success together with our fans," the Bosnian edition of SportSport quoted Kovacevic as saying.
