In a tense Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico, Roma claimed a confident 1-0 victory over Sassuolo. The decisive moment came in the 50th minute when Lorenzo Pellegrini scored the only goal of the match to put his team ahead. AS Roma made several substitutions throughout the match to maintain their advantage and bring the game to an end. Leonardo Spinazzola, Hussem Aouar, and Rick Karsdorp took the field to give the team a boost of energy and vigour.
Sassuolo also made a few substitutions in an attempt to get back on track as Pedro Obiang, Gregoire Defrel, Uros Rasic and Andrea Pinamonti took the field. However, they failed to break through the Roma defence and both teams received a yellow card in the final minutes of the match. Roma's Sardar Azmoun and Sassuolo's Marash Kumbulla received warnings from the referee in a tense end to the match. In the end, Roma held on to their slim advantage and won all three points in a hard fought match against Sassuolo. The win keeps Roma in the top four of the Serie A standings, while Sassuolo will be looking to bounce back in their next match.
