On the fifth day of the Spanish training camp, the national team of Ukraine gathered in full force: in the morning, our last legionnaires arrived at the national team hotel in Marbella.
Roman Yaremchuk was still in time for the start of breakfast, Serhii Sydorchuk and Ruslan Malinowski caught their partners at the end of the morning meal, but Anatolii Trubin arrived an hour later, so he saw the boys before lunch.
Thus, all 28 players called up by Serhii Rebrov for the March training camp arrived yesterday for the evening training session, which, like all the previous ones, took place on the pitch of the Banus football centre.
After all, the work programme was not the same for everyone. The guys who had recently played and were on their way to the Blue and Yellows' location - Ruslan Malinowski, Artem Dovbyk, Bohdan Mykhailichenko, Mykhailo Mudryk, Serhii Sydorchuk and Roman Yaremchuk - jogged and did a set of muscle recovery exercises.
Viktor Tsygankov, who is known to have injured the medial collateral ligament of the knee joint, is currently working individually: according to the head doctor of the national team of Ukraine Roman Zholobaylyuk, there is positive dynamics in his recovery.
Most of the players performed coaching tasks during the evening training session, working on ball possession and control within the game series, and traditionally the national team practiced passing. The goalkeeping trio worked in full force today under the guidance of goalkeeping coach Rustam Khudzhamov. In theoretical classes, they have already begun to analyse the tactical structure of the Bosnian national team, so preparations for the semi-finals of the Euro play-offs are gradually being finalised.
This morning, the national team will hold its final training session in Marbella, after which it will have lunch and leave for Malaga airport. In the evening, the Ukrainian national team is expected to arrive in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
