Girona head coach Michel Sanchez has said that the Catalan club were obliged to let Viktor Tsygankov go to the Ukraine national team despite his injury.
"Tsygankov is 100 per cent committed to our club as a footballer, that's unequivocal. We will see if Viktor will be ready to play for the national team on Thursday. We were obliged to let him go to the Ukraine national team. We know everything about his injury - he has a knee ligament sprain, and it is very painful. After the match with Osasuna he constantly felt discomfort, we will see if he will be able to play in the upcoming match. We believe Tsygankov", - quotes Micheal Sanchez publication AS.
Tsygankov missed the match "Girona" against "Getafe" because of a knee injury, but arrived in the national team of Ukraine. On 21 March, the Blue-Yellows will meet Bosnia and Herzegovina in the play-offs of qualification for Euro 2024.
