Bosnia and Herzegovina forward Edin Dzeko has shared his expectations for the Euro 2024 qualification play-off round match against Ukraine.
"When your team gets to the play-off round, it seems to be the fastest way to get to the final stage of the tournament. The chances are there, although we didn't do the best in earlier qualifying. The Ukraine national team are the favourites to face off, but we will show how much we want to win.
For us - experienced players of the national team - this is the last chance to play at such a tournament. It is not easy, but we have to give 100 per cent in tomorrow's match. Now every game becomes tough, because all the teams have learnt to play football, you can't win easily. We influence what the game will be like tomorrow, it all depends on us. If we win, I think the final game will be even more difficult. We must do everything possible to win.
As for the Ukraine national team, I would not talk much about their weaknesses and strengths. We all know Ukraine well, they have a lot of young and strong players, it will not be an easy game. We are playing in front of our fans and we must believe in ourselves, believe that we can win. If we do not believe, then who will believe in us? The odds are always 50/50.
This is a historic match. Earlier we could never overcome this barrier, so I want it to work out now. But the opponent will play with the same desire - to get to the Euros. The task is not easy for us, but it will be difficult for them as well," Dzeko said.
І то була єдина нагода на весь матч у Роми
Украина = весь мир
