Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro has commented on the future of Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso.
"Xabi Alonso's contract runs until 2026 and there is no reason to doubt that he will stay here. In football, you never know exactly what will happen, but I trust him completely, we have a great relationship," journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted Carro as saying on social media.
It should be added that after 26 rounds, Bayer Leverkusen leads the German league standings with 70 points and is ten points ahead of second-placed Bayern Munich.
