On Wednesday, the national team of Ukraine held a pre-match training session in Zenica at the Bilino Pole Stadium. The completion of preparations for the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina was commented on by the blue-and-yellows defender Oleksandr Karavayev.

"I have only positive feelings. We are very serious, even more than one hundred per cent. The lawn feels good, fast. There are some places there... But we have completed all the exercises for today. Then in the evening, when the dew starts, the pitch becomes even faster. And this is better for us, because we like fast football. It is better to play on such a pitch than when it is dry. The weather conditions are normal - everything is fine.

We know and feel that there is a million-strong army of our supporters watching us. We all feel united and expect support. To say that the team is in a fighting mood would be an understatement. Everyone is very serious and understands what the match will be like. Everyone is preparing," said Alexander Karavayev.

This morning it became known that Karavayev was not included in the application for the semi-final play-off match of the Euro 2024 qualification between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine, which will take place in Zenica and will start at 20:45 local time (21:45 in Kyiv).
