Former Ukraine defender Viacheslav Shevchuk told Tribuna what he thinks about the goalkeeping situation in the team before the 1/2 finals of the play-offs for Euro 2024 against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- There is very serious competition at the goalkeeping position now. This is a question for the coaching staff. Like Lunin, Trubin, Bushchan, and, in my opinion, Riznyk - these are all goalkeepers who deserve it. These are all high-level goalkeepers. We have this position very well strengthened. For me, it's a difficult choice because all the players are of a high level.
Of course, Trubin has secured the number one position in recent matches. All of our goalkeepers show a high level of play in their clubs, but Trubin is probably more settled and adapted at the moment. I think that, most likely, the choice will be Anatoliy's," Shevchuk said.
