However, Iceland quickly responded with a goal by Arnor Gudmundsson in the 39th minute and then another goal by Arnor Traustason in the 42nd minute to take the lead before halftime. At the start of the second half, both teams made strategic substitutions to try and gain an advantage.
Israel released Guy Kanichowski in place of Ofri Gloch, while Iceland replaced William T. Willumsson with Jon Thorsteinsson. However, it was Iceland who continued to dominate and Arnor Gudmundsson scored goals in the 83rd and 87th minutes to complete his hat-trick and secure the win for his team. The match got off to a bad start for Israel when Roy Revivo received a red card in the 73rd minute, leaving his team in the minority for the rest of the game. Eran Zahavi also received a yellow card in the 74th minute, making things worse for Israel. Despite Eran Zahavi's penalty kick miss in the 80th minute, Iceland managed to maintain their lead with a convincing victory over Israel. With a final score of 1-4, Iceland showed their strength and skill, leaving the fans in awe of their play on the pitch.
