Roman Yaremchuk: "Iceland national team is plus or minus Wales national team"

Ukraine striker Roman Yaremchuk said what he thinks about the match against Iceland in the final play-off round of the Euro 2024 qualifying round, which will take place next Tuesday in Wroclaw.

"It will be a very difficult match against a team made up of real fighters. The Iceland national team is a perfectly organised opponent, especially in defence. But their style of play is simple - on the counterattack. I think that this is plus or minus the Welsh team.

Apparently, the Icelanders will play against us in three central defenders, with a full defence. At the same time, the team has performers who are good in attack. It will not be easy for us.

I hope for our fans, whom I really missed. As well as all the guys in our team. And in general, when you play in Europe, you miss Ukrainians. That's why I want to please them, give them a good mood and go to the Euros," Yaremchuk said on the air of the VZBLRNA Youtube channel.
