Former Bayern Munich footballer Lothar Matthäus spoke about the current German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann after the team's 2-0 victory over France.
"It will be a challenge for Nagelsmann to create an era in the German national team. I assume that at his age he wants to work with the team on a daily basis. I think he has offers from clubs that are interested in him.
I don't know if Bayern are in the top spot, but a return to Munich would be something special. I think it was a mistake to fire him. In my opinion, Nagelsmann was a good fit for Bayern. But whether he will do it again, even under different management, is up to him," Matthäus was quoted as saying on Twitter by Bayern & Germany.
