Iceland defender Sverrir Ingason told what he expects from the match against Ukraine in the final play-off round of the Euro 2024 qualifying round, which will take place today in Wroclaw.
"We know that we will face an extremely strong Ukrainian team. The most important thing for us is to be especially ready for the first fifteen minutes of the match, for the fact that the opponent will put us under a lot of pressure in this section of the game. We have to withstand it. And then find our game, its rhythm and strive to realise our tactical plan.
Again, the opponent is strong, but we know what team we have to play against, so we are well prepared," Ingason said at yesterday's pre-match press conference in Wroclaw.
