Sebastian Ledoux, the agent of Atletico Madrid's Dutch forward Memphis Depay, commented on rumours that the player had helped former Barcelona defender Dani Alves get out of jail on €1m bail.
"This is fake news. It's not true at all," Goal quotes Memphis as saying, citing Informativos Telecinco.
Earlier it was reported that Alves was unable to pay bail due to the freezing of his bank accounts. Depay became friends with the Brazilian footballer during their joint appearances for Barcelona in the 2021/2022 season.
Dani Alves will remain at large while his sexual assault appeal is being considered. It will be recalled that in January 2023, Alves was charged with raping a girl at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona. On 20 January, the ex-footballer was taken into custody. he will play for Barcelona in the 2021/2022 season.
