"Lions" may return to professional football as early as next season

FC Lviv, which was disbanded after the end of last season in the UPL, may return to professional football.

As Sportivka reports , there are now plans to create this club from scratch, under a new legal entity, with a complete rebranding and to apply for the second league next season.

According to the source, the new Lviv is planned to be financed by Roman Mykhailiv, who is now engaged in the children's and youth school of the "citizens" and in parallel is an investor of Ternopil "Niva". Given the latter circumstance, the de jure owner of the new club will be someone else.

It is also reported that the likelihood of Lviv's revival is currently assessed as "quite high".
