Teams' bids for Euro 2024 could be expanded to 26 players

UEFA is considering the option of expanding the entry lists of national teams for Euro 2024 from 23 to 26 players, The Athletic reports.

According to the source, Europe's premier football body has listened to a number of coaches' statements about the need to expand the bids. It is expected that the decision in this regard will be made on 8 April after a meeting with representatives of teams participating in Euro-2024.

Recall that at the previous European Championship, the teams' bids were expanded to 26 players - in connection with the so-called coronavirus pandemic. The same norm existed at the 2022 World Cup.
