"They didn't give me any specific reason" - Francesco Baranka confirms leaving UAF

Francesco Baranka has confirmed that he is stepping down as chairman of the UAF Ethics and Fair Play Committee.

- Yes, the information is true. They didn't give me any specific reason, but of course I accept their decision. It is absolutely normal that they want to make changes. I don't know who will take over my position. It is still possible that we will come to some kind of agreement and continue to cooperate as an external party within the monitoring.

It has been a long period here for me and we have had great results in the fight against match-fixing. I will always have Ukraine in my heart and I will always be available in case the UAF needs my help," Baranka said.
