As previously reported, the Ukrainian striker of Spanish Valencia Roman Yaremchuk was injured in yesterday's match for his team in the match against Mallorca (0:0) in the 30th round of the Spanish championship: at the beginning of this meeting, the footballer stopped abruptly while running for the ball and asked for a replacement.
Sports doctor Dmytro Babelyuk, known for his work in Lviv "Rukh", spoke about the nature of Yaremchuk's injury and the approximate timing of his recovery.
"Roman Yaremchuk "pulled the back". The Ukrainian striker played only 17 minutes in the next round of La Liga and was forced to leave the field because of an injury to the muscles of the posterior surface of the thigh.
The mechanism of the injury is typical, as the player felt pain during the acceleration. Also telling was the moment when the doctors, examining the player, asked if he felt the characteristic sound of a tear, showing with his hands "torn muscle". Roman nodded that he felt it.
However, the problem should not be too complicated, as the player left the pitch on his own and even tried to return to the game, running for two minutes in the centre circle.
Anyway, a muscle injury traditionally throws a player out of the game for 3-4 weeks at least. Hopefully, the player will get an MRI as soon as possible.
The most optimistic prognosis is a return to play in 3 weeks. Optimal forecast - Roman will be on the field in the traditional 4-5 weeks. Pessimistic prognosis - a complex degree of injury and departure for 2 months", - wrote Babelyuk in his Telegram channel.
