Ukrainian midfielder of Italian Genoa Ruslan Malinovskyi was injured in yesterday's match against Frosinone (1:1) in the 30th round of the Italian championship.
The 30-year-old footballer appeared on the field in this meeting immediately after the break, but already in the 63rd minute of the match was forced to be replaced. The nature of Malinovskiy's injury was told by the sports doctor. Dmytro Babelyuk, known for his work in Lviv Rukh.
"Ruslan Malinovskyi injured the posterior surface of the thigh. It should be noted that the mechanism of injury is not quite typical. Ruslan felt a sudden pain after a pass (i.e. after a sudden strain).
This mechanism of injury is typical for tendon injuries. Therefore, given the video, there is concern that a tendon injury could also involve a muscle injury, significantly prolonging any recovery.
Grade 1 and 2 injuries are just muscle and fascia, but grade 3 already involves the tendon as well. I hope everything will be fine, but the mechanism of the injury was very alarming, which may indicate the 3rd degree," Babelyuk wrote in his Telegram channel.
