Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny spoke about the fight for the scudetto after the 0-1 defeat to Lazio in the 30th round of the Italian championship.
"We all need to understand that we need to give more for Juventus. We are aware that we have not done enough in the last two months, it is a negative moment and it hurts us all. We have to be aware of the goals we set for ourselves. Each of us has to ask ourselves questions. The guys train hard, they are thirsty for victories, but there are no results. We all have to work harder.
Did the defeat to Inter affect the team? If we talk about the energy of the team, yes. We were very charged for six or seven months because we dreamed of the Scudetto. It was not a goal, it was a dream. We played a great first part of the season, everyone started dreaming. And when the dream disappeared, the energy also disappeared. However, this cannot be an excuse," Football Italia quoted Szczęsny as saying.
