Zorya midfielder Oleksandr Yatsyk commented on the match of the 22nd round of the Ukrainian championship, in which his team defeated Metalist 1925, and also shared his expectations for the upcoming match against Dynamo.
- Oleksandr, congratulations on the victory! Was it difficult to switch to UPL games after the national teams' matches?
- The difficulty was in returning from Azerbaijan, where our youth team played. The journey home took 23 hours. I think we didn't have enough time to fully recover. First, we flew from Baku to Warsaw, and then we got to Kyiv. Of course, I was tired. I had a cramp in the 80th minute of the match and asked for a substitute.
- Did the victory over Metalist 1925 come hard?
- I think that we often failed to properly dispose of the ball in front of the opponent's penalty area. At the moment, every game is for six points for us. We want to go as high as possible in the standings.
- The hero of the match was Panamanian Guerrero, who scored twice.
- I think he tries to show his best in every match. It is likely that he is in slightly better shape in the spring than in the autumn. Guerrero is an important player for Zorya, and we appreciate him.
- Was his winning goal fantastic?
- Something like that. Although shortly before this masterpiece he could have scored, he just missed the ball. It was nothing to worry about. He soon recovered.
- On 4 April, Zorya will play a match against Dynamo. It will be a missed first-round match. As a footballer belonging to Dynamo Kyiv, will you be able to play at the Valeriy Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium?
- No, because that's how the lease agreement is written. All of Dynamo's leased players cannot play next Thursday.
- How can we face Dynamo then?
- There are no irreplaceable players. I think that Zorya can get some points against Dynamo Kyiv.
