It's official. A working meeting on arbitration in the UPL took place at the Football House

On 2 April, at the initiative of the Ukrainian Football Association, a working meeting was held at the Football House with the participation of the UAF and UPL management and representatives of UPL football clubs.

The meeting was attended by UAF Vice President Oleksandr Shevchenko, UAF Secretary General Ihor Hryshchenko, Chairman of the Referees Committee Kateryna Monzul, Chairman of the Professional Football Committee Oleh Luzhnyi, Acting President of the UPL Yevhen Dykyi and representatives of UPL clubs.

The meeting discussed innovations in the Ukrainian arbitration system. In particular, the meeting participants discussed the mechanism for applying the draw system when appointing referees for Ukrainian championship matches. We would like to remind you that this system was tested during the appointment of referees for the match of the 1/2 finals of the Ukrainian Cup. In order to implement a similar system at UPL matches, it is necessary, among other things, to abandon the regional principle of appointing referees. Club representatives were sympathetic to this proposal.

The club representatives were also informed that as part of the reform of Ukrainian arbitration, polygraph testing was applied to certain members of the judiciary.

In addition, the UPL clubs' managers returned to the discussion of creating a fund for bonus payments to the best referees at the end of the season and expressed full confidence in the UAF Referees Committee.
