Van Dijk names the best partner he played with at Liverpool

Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk answered the question of who he considers to be the best partner he has played with during his time in the Merseyside camp.

"I don't want to denigrate other players, but let me talk about the players who have left the club. Bobby Firmino was an important figure in the success we have had in recent years. He linked two other great players together. They were a triangle. The way they worked in defence to make it easier to play at the back was outstanding. It was not easy for Firmino to defend in training, so I give him credit.

But now I'm playing with other amazing players: Mohamed Salah, Alison Becker. I also won't forget Joel Matip," the Daily Mail quoted Van Dijk as saying.
